I NEED AN INTERVENTION!!!

Not because I drink to much or do drugs. Not even because I am addicted to my diet but because I am addicted to this:

Thats right once again I have become a slave to my DVR for Monday night television. I fell in love with Jill(ian) last year when she was dumped by Jason. I thought she had an amazing personality, so fun, down to earth & all around good girl. Well my addiction to Jillians season is ten times worse than my addiction to Jason (even though I did think he was a cutiepie).

Of course I have my faves (one in particular) and if you dont want to be bored by my recap or read spoilers stop reading now!!! Ok I warned you.....Nerd Alert Ahead

Jesse: OK so I totally think he is going home after the Home Town Dates and that is so not gonna hurt my feelings. BTW I dont think he is cute at all. He just seems kinda blah (although his family has access to lots of free wine....we all know how much Jill likes her wine).

Michael: Totally cute, Totally Hilarious, Totally Adorable.....Totally not ready for marriage. BTW I am looking forward to watching his hometown date though!! He has an identical twin (and I do mean IDENTICAL) and they do the old switcheroo!!!

Wes: I could go on and on about how much I despise this guy! He is a total jackass!!! Seriously either he is the most vendictive, dishonest guy in Texas (and I have met some doozies) or ABC is having a hayday with his editing. What a tool shed!!! I am so looking forward to Mr. Perfect (Jake) calling his ass to the carpet. (Yeah another spoiler in case you didnt know Jake comes back and totally crashes Wes hometown date and calls him out. IN FRONT OF JILL)

Kiptyn: OMG if I was going off of looks he would probably be my pick. Kiptyn was one of my faves from the beginning and if he ends up with her I wont be devastated. I am looking forward to his hometown date because I am thinking he is getting in the hottub with Jill and HAVE YOU SEEN HIS ABS??? Yeah I think he works out! Anyways. He and Jillian without a doubt have a physical connection and I dont blame her if I was a single girl I would make out with him any chance I got too. BUT watch his eye contact & body language at the rose ceremony.....its just weird!!! He never looks her in the eye and he gives her the one armed hug?!?! What up with that?!?! I mean who knows??? Maybe the rose ceremonys freak him out but something seems strange there. I still think he is gorgeous though!!!

MY FAVE :)

My girl Lauren is gonna kill me for this (she loves Kip) BUT I am Team Reid all the way. It took a while to convert me but I have crossed over. I dont know what it is about him that I love but I totally want him to be Jill's hubby. I love that he is NORMAL!!!! I mean even Kiptyn is a little too perfect! Reid is just a hot nerdy guy who totally makes me smile. I love that he is weird and quirky. Probably a little OCD and a self proclaimed hyopchondriac but to me that is real life. I mean how often do we meet perfect guys!?!?! Jillian isnt perfect and I think she loves that Reid isnt either. So he is my pick. BTW I love guys in glasses. Sooooo cute and understated :) NOW on to why I think he might win. All this season I thought it would be Kiptyn....I mean you cant deny their chemistry BUT it is never the guy we think it is gonna be right???? It is always the guy who got very little screen time. Also always the underdog, the person we never suspect. Who else could it be but Reid....and if he wins I will probably cry (dorky I know) but I like them together THAT much!

SOOOOO there you have it. My addiction to the Bachelorette!!!! Dorky I know.....I do need to get a hobby (other than this). But what can I say I am a hopeless romantic.

Also two more points to make:

1. Ed is totally coming back. AND I have not been dumb enough to believe that his leaving wasnt totally scripted. I mean come on...No other guy in the house is allowed any contact with the outside world (email, internet, tv, phone) but he gets to communicate with his boss about his need to come back to work?!?! Sounds sketchy!

2. Dont be fooled into thinking that one of the guys isnt able to "perform" in the bedroom. I mean come on!!!!! They have never exposed what actually happens on those overnight dates!!!! Why would they start now??? Heck they dont even admit to doing the deed why would they come on national television and talk about someones erectile dysfunction?? My guess is that someone gets food poisoning, panic attacks heck we may even have a virgin on our hands but not THAT!

There you have it! If you are a fan let me know what you think!!! If you arent then why are you still reading this?

Happy Fathers Day

I had this blog typed but forgot to post it!! WOOPS

Well today is Fathers Day and I wanted to take a little bit of time out of my lazy day to say a big Thank You to Daley's Daddy :) Jabin is an amazing father and our little girl is very very lucky to have a daddy that loves her the way he does. I knew the day that she was born that he was going to be an amazing father. He is very very protective of his lil girl. He is really really cautious and always making sure she is safe. He always gets nervous when she is trying new things that may cause her to get hurt. It melts my heart the way he looks at her and I find it so endearing the way he likes to teach her new things. Everytime he comes home from work and walks in the back door she lights up like a Christmas Tree and starts squealing with excitement. I know she is as crazy about her Daddy as he is about her :) Thanks so much Jabin for being such a great role model to our lil angel. You couldnt give me a better gift than your un-conditional love for our child. Love you Babe

The Diet Update

Well here are a few things I have learned since being on my diet (which began 37 days ago):

1. A cheat "day"....not so bad! A cheat "Weekend".....hard to recover from!!!

2. It is hard to eat healthy when you have to attend 2 weddings, the Ft Worth zoo, A rehearsal dinner @ Joe T's, & lunch @ Pappadeaux

3. I have learned to actually like the taste of Diet Coke (which I swore I would never do)

4. If you stick to a 1000 calorie a day diet you will see results in 30 days.

5. Cookies never looked so good!

6. Its a great feeling when you try on a dress from 3 years ago and it almost fits.

7. I should be exercising (because if I did I could eat more)

8. It is easy to get discouraged and say "screw it"

9. Miller 64 with lime is a great option when you need a beer on a hot summer night.

10. My husband really does mean well when he says "Honey I can totally tell you have lost weight cause you have less dimples in your butt!!!!"

So Proud

Look at my sweet little girl pushing her baby stroller. Up until about 2 days ago Daley had no interest in the stroller that Nana and Papa bought her for her birthday. Well I have finally gotten her to stand behind it and push it. She is still very wobbely and gets nervous when she gets on the hardwood but I think we are making a little bit of progress. Here is a clip from this afternoon!

Coolin' Off

Just wanted to capture a few pics of Daley in the pool. She actually kept her hat on this time :)

Look at those eyelashes!

Sorry for the lack of smile! She is teething and wasnt in a very good humor yesterday :(

Here Comes The Bride

After our trip to the zoo on Thursday we headed back to the hotel for a much needed nap. Then on Thursday night we went to my fave place for Janay and Caseys rehearsal dinner. Joe T. Garcia's. BTW coolest place for rehearsal dinner in case you were wondering. We had great food & margaritas of course. After dinner and the rehearsal we headed to Caseys brother house for drinks and fellowship. That was also lots of fun. My brother in laws family is soooooo much fun and can host one heck of a party. Friday was the big wedding day. I was pretty nervous about how Daley was gonna hold out all evening but she did great! All Jabin & i kept saying all weekend was that she was such a little trooper. From the zoo in the rain, cooped up in hotel rooms til partying at the reception till midnight this little girl never fussed or complained. She was really really really tired during the ceremony and just layed her head down on Mommys chest and other than the clicking of her pacifier she didnt make a sound!!!! LOL The ceremony was very very nice and the reception was the funnest one I have ever been too. Jabin and I have been talking about it all weekend. There was a great feeling of joy and celebration in the room and you could tell everyone there was having a great time. It was really great to see family members that we havent seen since our wedding and catch up on everyones lives. The minister that officiated mine and Jabin's ceremony is an old family friend and he became a huge hit with our daughter. So much so that she snuggled up in his arms and fell fast asleep. She did wake up towards the end of the night to enjoy some music but by the time we made it back to the hotel she was sooooo tired. She went straight to sleep and slept until 9:30am. I think that is a record for her. Here are a few pictures for the reception. Again I wasnt great at the picture taking this weekend....especially at the wedding I was too busy dancing!
Notice my daughter has a grip on Daddys beer?

The Toast!

Aunt Janay, Daley & Jabin

The Happy Couple :) Mr. & Mrs. Goff

Janay on her throne! About to do the garter toss :)

Enjoy your honeymoon!

Ft Worth Zoo

On Thursday we took Daley to the Ft Worth Zoo. We were sooooo nervous on our way there because during the entire drive down there it was raining. I was super bummed because we had been looking forward to the trip for months and I thought we were going to get rained out. Well the first hour we were there we spent all of our time with the gorillas and monkeys. We got hungry so we made our way to the closest restaurant (Burger King) YEAH and had lunch. Well after lunch it stopped raining. Thank goodness!!! The sun never came out which made for a really cool overcast day! Daley had sooooo much fun. I didnt get very many good pictures but I do have a few to share. Her faves were the monkeys, flamingos and penquins. On our way out we got her a penquin shirt as a souvenier!!!
Daley & Daddy taking shelter from the rain!
Daley loved the Flamingos....we couldnt even get her to look at the camera
Ok even though the reptile exhibit was my least fave I did get good pictures!
Big Ass Snake - seriously that is Jabins hand just to show you how big it was!
What Texas zoo would be complete without a longhorn?

TIRED, TEETHING & TOTALLY READY FOR A NAP!!!

Birthday Girl

Ok I am going to aplolgize in advance for all of the pictures....it was really hard to pick which ones were my fave. Daley had a fun and busy 1st birthday weekend!!! Here is the recap:

On Saturday morning (Daleys actual birthday) when Daley woke up Jabin and I went into her room and sang Happy Birthday to her. She was standing in her bed bouncing up and down with the biggest grin on her face while we were singing to her. That morning Nana and Atlee came over to play so that mom could get some last minute cleaning done before the party on Sunday. Nana also brought over one gift so that Daley could have something to open on her real birthday. Jabin and I also decided that she could have her gifts from us. Here are a few pics from that morning!!!

Daley and Atlee sharing some juice

Daley opening her gifts from Mommy & Daddy

Daley & Atlee trying out the new pool!!

After a long morning of playing Daley went to her first wedding. My cousin Matt got married and the wedding was really nice. BUT during the ceremony my daughter decided to start talking, squealing and making lots and lots of noise. Poor daddy had to take her out of the church and wait in the parlor until the ceremony was over. Then we went to reception and had lots of yummy food and cake.

Sunday was the PARTY day!!!

Here are the pics (and again sorry I know there are a lot)

Her cutie pie cake from Market Street

Look how cute I am in my birthday dress!!!

Best Buddies

Daley and Nana!

What would we do without these grandmas?

Awwwww

Seriously she liked the cards as much as the toys

Savannah came and helped her open gifts ;)

I have no idea what this face is all about but I thought it was too cute!

Dude Where's my cake?

Happy Birthday to you!!!

Let the fun begin

You only turn 1 once right?!?!?!

Thanks so much to Aunt Kelli for taking all of the pictures at the party so that we could all enjoy this special day!!! You have no idea how much I appreciate that! We had so much fun

A Year Ago Today

Well I have been working on this blog for a while now and I really cant believe that I have been a mom for one full year! Actually I became a mom the day I found out I was pregnant but technically speaking it has been 1 year to the day. Time really has flown by. I will never forget the night that the contractions came. I didn't think I was in labor it was a little too soon I had another day of work and had lots of loose ends to tie up. You still had another week before you were scheduled to be here but you decided you wanted to surprise us and come early. Daddydidn't think that Mommy was in labor either. As a matter of fact I had a really hard time waking him up. After a few phone calls to Dr Jones he told me to meet him at the hospital and that he would come by and see me after his first surgery. Little did I know when I left the house that warm, windy summer morning I would never ever be the same. Nana met us at the hospital and from there it all seemed to go very fast. As a matter of fact we go to the hospital at 8:30am and you arrived into the world at 9:59am. When the nurse told me that she was gonna go wash her hands and then take me to the OR I panicked. I asked everyone to leave the room so I could have some time with my husband and I cried and told your daddy how scared I was. He calmed me down and told me that everything was gonna be fine and that he would be right by my side. He said "This is what we have been waiting for and I know you are ready." After that they whisked me away and the rest is a little bit of a blur:) The C-Section went really really well and even though I was scared (because I was gonna be awake) I was so excited to meet you. As soon as I heard your cry I was overcome with emotion. So was your Daddy. They took you away to the nursery and it seemed like an eternity before I got to see you again. I kept demanding for them to bring me my baby and finally my wish was granted. They brought you in the room and when they placed you in my arms I immediately fell in love. I couldn't get enough of you. I studied every inch your precious face and I knew I would treasure that sweet moment for the rest of my life. As a matter of fact I don't even know if there was anyone in room with us. It seemed like you and I were the only people on the face of the earth and I wouldn't have had it any other way. The minute I touched you I knew my life would forever be dedicated to you. You had many many visitors in the hospital and everyone commented on what a sweet and special little angel you were. You were a beautiful newborn and from the beginning you have always been a snuggle bug. After we brought you home from the hospital your daddy and Icouldn't wait to spend time together in our home with our perfect new family. The days and weeks that passed went by quickly but we got into a routine with ease. It seemed like we were all meant to be together. Even though we were new at parenting and hit a few bumps along the way we knew this was what God blessed us with and we soaked in each moment! As this year has passed I have grown to love you more and more everyday. You have any amazing smile, cute and fun personality and a strong will that we know one day will work to your benefit. You STILL look exactly like your daddy which makes mommy's heart skip a beat. You also toot like your dad HAHAHA as a matter of fact that loud gas is how you got your nickname. What did you get from your mommy? Really Really small feet. And your appetite!!!! The Lord couldn'thave blessed us with a better baby. You are a wonderful sleeper, hardly ever cry, love to eat (especially sweets), enjoy bath time, AND love to play. You have a few fave toys: The yellow lamb that your MiMi & GDaddy gave you for Easter is probably your fave toy right now. You call it "gog" and every time you see it you crawl straight to it and give it hugs. You also love books and any toys that make noise or sing songs. Other than toys and books youlooooovvvveeee music. ANY MUSIC. When we are in the car you clap your hands, when we are at home you dance. But most of all you love the theme songs to "The Backyardigans" & "The Wonder Pets" you can be anywhere in the house and if you hear those songs you come speeding in the living room to watch the TV! From the very beginning of your life you were never a quiet baby and that still hasn't changed. You are always making noise! The words you can say are "Mama", "Dada", "Nana", "Gog" (for dog), "I do", "Coke" (for ANY drink), "More" (which you say A LOT when you eat) & "Bye Bye" & most recently you are starting to learn how to say your name. Daddy and I are so proud of you and how you have grown up into a sweet independentlittle girl. We enjoy watching you learn and explore new things everyday. You have made us so happy and we truly mean it when we say "We don't know what we did before you". You make our life worth living and you make us want to be better people. As your mommy I hope and pray each day that God gives me the grace and wisdom to do my best at giving you everything you need. Your daddy and I will work our hardest to raise you to be a gracious, giving, fun & warm hearted little girl. Your grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles & cousins adore you. You have a way of warming the hearts of all of those around you and making everyone smile. As we look back to all the memories of the past year and look forward to all the memories we will make in the future we want to say "We love you Beansie and we wish you a Very Happy 1st Birthday!!!"

I couldnt have said it better myself

The other day I received an email from a friend. This email contained some quotes from Andy Rooney that resonated with me. Here are a few of my faves :

I've learned.... That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.

I've learned.... That when you're in love, it shows.

I've learned.... That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world.

I've learned.... That being kind is more important than being right.

I've learned.... That you should never say no to a gift from a child.

I've learned .... That I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to help him in some other way.

I've learned.... That no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.

I've learned.... That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to understand.

I've learned.... That we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for.

I've learned.... That money doesn't buy class.

I've learned.... That it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.

I've learned... That under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.

I've learned.... That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.

I've learned.... That love, not time, heals all wounds.

I've learned.... That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.

I've learned.... That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.

I've learned.... That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them.

I've learned .... That life is tough, but I'm tougher.

I've learned.... That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

I've learned .... That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.

I've learned.... That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.

I've learned.... That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.

21 days to form a habit!!!

Well I weighed last friday and I lost another 2lbs. 7 so far!!!! I was happy about this loss because I honestly didnt think I would lose. Not because I cheated but because I had to eat out a lot with work last week(meetings and such) I did really good about what I ate but if I dont have a package to go by I find it hard to count calories. The diet is getting easier and I can actually tell a little bit of a difference in the way my clothes fit. I know that sounds surprising but when you are 5ft 1in a few pounds makes a big difference. So there you have it folks 21days. I think it might actually be a habit :)

21 Days To Form A Habit - You Can Do It
Research has proven that it takes 21 days to form a habit. Habits are an essential part of our life, without them we would fail in most things we try to accomplish. They help us to reach specific goals, stay focused along the way and keep on pushing when the going gets touch. At the same time, non-supportive habits can keep us from moving forward or even hurt our well-being. As Dr. Andrew Weil says, anything you do with repetition and emotion will become your reality. If you’re not satisfied with your current experience, examine your habits.

Another Year Older

I just wanted to write a quick blog to say Happy Birthday to my hubs!!!! I am sooooo lucky to have such a wonderful husband and Daley is sooooo lucky to have such a great daddy. Since Jabin is working late tonight we celebrated with some friends & family yesterday evening. We went to Los Tres Amigos for dinner and a few drinks. I have to say I am a little jealous that hubs is a whole year older than me and has NO grey hair!!!! We love you honey and I hope you have a great day.
